Creating a custom search engine

Information management is one of the biggest challenges for SEOs, and probably for just about anyone who uses a computer to find things out on a regular basis.  The real frustration comes when you know you have read a blog post or article, or seen a fantastic graphic but just can’t remember where.

That’s where Google’s custom search engine comes in.  You simply set up a tiny subset of Google on your own site that includes only sites or even individual pages you specificy.

This means the search below above will only search the resources that I have specified.  At the moment its database is very very small and contains only a couple of blog posts, but it will gradually build up into a very useful personal resource and, hopefully, my days of hunting for that elusive bit of information I know is out there are over!
