An Addition to the Quality Score in Google Adwords

Google has announced that it is now taking into account the 'content
and the layout of the pages linked from your ads'and incorporating this
into its recently introduced Quality Score in order to determine
minimum bids for keywords.

Now it is even more important to send your Adwords visitors to the
appropriate landing page. If you are setting up your campaigns
carefully and appropriately then you shouldn't notice any changes but
any attempts to take short cuts when running Adwords campaigns are
now likely to cost advertisers more then ever. You can read more on
this @

For all those people who expressed interest in our Google Analytics
training, it appears that Google has got its 'knickers in a bit of a
twist' and is still struggling to keep up with the demand for sign ups
to its free web analytics tool that we told you about recently. It
appears there has also been some difficulties with those who did manage
to sign up so we will be keeping a beady eye on events. Once Google
has sorted itself out, we'll let you know about our training course
dates.

Meantime, for those of you who like to keep up with what's happening
with web analytics, Search Engine Workshops attended a very
interesting UK focused Web Measurement and Analytics Suppliers'
Showcase in London a couple of weeks ago and you can read what we
thought of it here:

We still have some availability on one of our Workshops in January but
don't leave it late to register as spaces are very limited:

Finally, Sally and I would like to wish all our readers a very Merry
Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

See you in 2006!
